Calling you a coward?

But it’s ok to randomly call people a cunt.

And even if it were, he clearly would have had a chance to play the ball if the defender hadn't hacked the shit out of him. Usually that analysis is only seen on denial of a goal scoring opportunity which isn't about a penalty but a red card.

Lot of praise for Declan on their forum

https://www.uptheclarets.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=58797

Like many, went into the match wondering what the hype was all about. He has been poor at t’Turf. Yesterday was a Steven Gerrard type performance. Great defensively and their most threatening player going forward. Best performance by any player I’ve seen live this year.

He was a class act today and stood out a mile it was his box to box engine that impressed me most and he is up their with Fabregas, Hazard, Modric, Gerrard, Van Dijk, De Bruyne and Kante as best opposition players that I have seen on the Turf

Must admit we made a few of the WHU players look mediocre today-Antonio, Bowen and Benrahma, Souchel, Coufal, Lansini. Declan Rice most certainly was not one of them. One of the best players I have seen in a long time that caught my eye. A future England captain

Definite penalty. The dialogue should go..
Did Scunthorpe play the ball? No.
Did the Scunthorpe player kick the WH player? Yes.
Foul play.
Result caution and penalty.

With VAR as well it was poor.

They're all the same, these non-West Ham claret and blue teams...

Blimey you really read what you want to read don't you.

I was replying to someones comment about Haller, in fact exactly the same as you've just done.

Digging out Antonio.. He's been poor the last couple of months, everyone on this board knows it, you included I've seen you Sat it..

Dopey cunt

Is there any reason why VAR wouldn't be corrupt?

It's the easiest way to manipulate the game and get what they want. Big teams doing well and 'entertainment'.

Why don't we hear the conversations?
Why don't we see the video replays any longer?
Why don't they release last season's records to gives fans an understanding of the rational behind decisions?
Why don't they tell us who (else) exactly is in the video box?
Why don't they clarify who is allowed in that box?
Why is it just one person and not a panel of independent people?

Because it's corrupt.

Villa? Are you a referee by any chance?

Yep. And a captain who gives it to him on the pitch too.

Refs are bloody useless though and are clearly susceptible to pressure. VAR should be abolished too if they're not going to use it right.

If it was Salah it's a penalty.

Had a great weekend did Moss he was the ref that gave that ridiculous penalty for Man City and he was the VAR bloke in the Dawson incident.
Shouldn't be anywhere near a football match.
Time to introduce foreign refs as this lot are Sunday league standard

The 'never looked like getting the ball' thing is the biggest load of trollope, how about if a corner is slung in and someone is thrown to the ground? It should be a pen, even if the ball wasn't going near them. Dawson was cleaned out, and it was as stonewall a pen as you'll ever get, and it's a mockery considering some of the pens given now with VAR.

____

this. The fact the commentator uses that as an excuse/law is risible - when clearly if a player takes another player out " in pursuit of the ball" its a foul...the only time that rule " might" apply is if an attacker is running the ball out - the second chelsea pen is an example of even in that case, a penalty gets given....just awful reffing again and even worse VARing

RichyP 11:25 Mon Dec 13
Re: ⚽ Burnley v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 0-0
Just googled FA law 12 which is the law applied for awarding direct free kicks/penalties and there is nothing in the law about the actions of the player who has been fouled. So whether Dawson was in control of the ball or had a chance of keeping the ball in is completely irrelevant.

The Burnley player attempted to play the ball by swinging his leg and got nowhere near the ball but caught the player. It was a careless challenge and a penalty should have been awarded. It’s not open to Interpretation.

Keep saying it but until refs are forced to talk afterwards it won’t change. If he had to explain why he didn’t give it he’d probably give more

Big club, small club, that is without question a penalty, and I can't for the life of me work out why it wasn't given. He cleaned Dawson out, Dawson was laughing because it was that blatant.

To get these decisions you have to have a boss who doesn’t mind being fined and really has a go at these refs after the game.

What happens is psychologically the refs don’t want to be constantly scrutinised in their games and start giving your team decisions they couldn’t be bothered to before.

Fergie, klopp, mourinho, conte etc… they all do it and know in the long run they’ll get those dodgy points.

Moyes is an honest guy though so I just don’t see us going in that direction.

Percy Dalton 10:47 Mon Dec 13
Re: ⚽ Burnley v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 0-0
No question def penalty or I should rephrase that def penalty if you play for the privileged few.
Stinks to high heaven just makes you hate the elite mob even more.
Wish they had just let all that mob fuck off to their super league and take the bent English refs and VAR with them.
